We had a wonderful romantic escape at this hotel. the room was beautiful and well-maintained, with a comfy bed and clean linen. the staff were friendly and welcoming, making us feel like more than just guests. the location was perfect, just a short drive from the M5 and offering stunning rural views. We also enjoyed spending time in the beer garden, which had a lovely atmosphere and provided a great space to relax and unwind.
The breakfast, which was a bit disappointing. the food wasn't very hot and some of the items, like the bacon, were cold and hard.

As young holiday goers, we loved the warm and friendly welcome we received upon arrival. the staff at this pub/hotel are amazing and made us feel right at home. the room we booked, a triple for 3 adults, was perfect for our needs. It may have been small but it had a comfortable double bed and single bed, with pristine linen and plenty of tea and coffee supplies. the beds were so comfortable that we almost forgot about our long car journey to get there. the beautiful beer garden and kids play area were an added bonus, creating a lovely atmosphere. for the price of £75, we couldn't fault this venue and would highly recommend it to others.
We felt very much at home during our stay at the Friendly Spirit and had nothing to complain about.

Had a nice Christmas break at a countryside inn. Location was great with easy access to nearby attractions. Some of the staff were really friendly and welcoming. the room was cosy and had a comfortable bed. the bathroom had a powerful shower and all the necessary amenities.
Cleanliness was an issue in the shared bathroom which wasn't ideal. Breakfast was not available due to staff shortages and this was not communicated beforehand.

Mind-blowingly enthusiastic staff, especially the awesome young manageress. The ambience and decor were super pleasant, with interesting memorabilia, and the vinyl LPs playing on the Dynatron radiogram were jaw-droppingly wonderful. We were entertained with amusing tales about a mischievous nun, and the location was ideal to avoid the infamous M5 traffic. Our family, including our three dogs, were accommodated without any hassle in the spacious family room. The Mexican chicken in the bar area was a firm family favorite, and we would definitely look to stay again. Thanks to everyone for a super stay! The free wi-fi, car park, bar/lounge area, restaurant, and electric kettle were also a big plus.

We enjoyed a delicious dinner at the pub restaurant with exceptional food options. The room for three adults was excellent value for money, with comfortable beds and clean bed linen.
Nothing could have been better.

The hotel's location was convenient with plenty of free parking available. the staff were friendly and tried their best despite some issues. One positive aspect was the availability of dinner at the pub, which was up to standard and nicely presented.
Other aspects at the hotel left much to be desired. the cleanliness of the room and bathroom was a major issue, with many guests noting issues with dirt and dust.
